COVID-19 Update

Dear parents, students and staff,

We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation to determine its impact on our community and regularly receiving updates from the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS).

If you, or a member of your family, have been to a level 3 country within the last 14 days, we are asking that you keep your child home and adhere to the recommendations provided by the CDC. If you have traveled to a level 2 country, or feel more comfortable keeping your child home, please do so.

Please visit the CDC website to learn which countries qualify as level 3 or level 2:

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html

Should you notice some of the symptoms (dry cough, fever, shortness of breath) in your child or someone at home please notify us immediately and do not bring your child to the center. Your child should remain at home until he or she is symptom free for at least 24 hours without the aid of medication. Should your child display signs of illness while at the center we will contact you so that you can pick him or her up as soon as possible.

Per our protocol, we continue to disinfect classrooms, toys and door handles daily and we promote good hygiene and frequent hand washing for the children.

Please visit these websites for more information about local COVID-19 conditions and recommendations for self-care:

Finally, with the temporary closure of multiple school districts around the valley, we are likely to receive requests for temporary care until schools reopen. As a precaution we have decided not to enroll school-aged kids on a temporary basis in order to minimize potential exposure to the virus. This was not an easy decision as we realize that many families do not have the ability to work from home.

We will keep you updated as new information becomes available from the CDC or the ADHS.

Thank you for your cooperation and stay safe,

Seni Brachet
